Possible Causes
Blocked filter, Clogged drain hose or sink spigot, Food debris in Candy drain pump impeller, Incorrect drain hose installation height
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before working on the drain system.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove the filter assembly and clean thoroughly. Remove any debris from the sump.
- Check drain hose: Ensure the hose is not kinked and is installed at the correct height as per Candy instructions. Detach from the sink spigot and flush with hot water.
- Inspect sink connection: Remove the hose from the sink trap spigot and clear any blockages. Ensure the spigot blanking plug has been removed on new installations.
- Check drain pump: Access the pump from the bottom or front. Remove any foreign objects from the impeller area. If the pump hums but does not turn, it may be jammed or failing and require replacement.
