Dishwasher is very noisy during wash or spin-like phases; grinding or rattling sounds are heard.

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before inspecting internal components.

• Check for loose items: Inspect the interior for utensils or small items that may have fallen into the bottom or onto the heating element.
• Verify spray arm clearance: Rotate spray arms by hand to ensure they spin freely without hitting dishes. Rearrange tall items if necessary.
• Inspect sump and pump: Remove the filter and look into the sump. Remove any glass, bones, or debris. If noise persists, access the pump from below and check for obstructions in the impeller.
• Assess pump condition: If the circulation pump is very loud even when clear, its bearings may be worn. Replacement of the circulation pump is usually required.
