Possible Causes
Worn or damaged Candy door gasket, Split bottom door seal, Blocked spray arm causing water to jet at the door, Overfilling due to level sensor issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water supply before inspection. Mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the rubber gasket around the tub opening. Look for tears, flattening, or gaps, especially at the bottom corners.
- Check bottom seal: On many Candy models, a separate bottom door seal is fitted to the inner door. Inspect it for splits or deformation.
- Clean spray arms and filters: Blocked jets can direct water at the door. Clean spray arms and ensure they rotate freely.
- Replace seals if damaged: If the gasket or bottom seal is worn, replace with the correct Candy spare. Installation usually involves pulling out the old seal and pressing the new one into the channel.
- If overfilling suspected: If water level seems too high, the pressure switch or inlet valve may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
