Possible Causes

Stuck-open water inlet valve, Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty pressure switch on Candy hydraulic system, Control board not closing inlet valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately to stop filling.

  • Manually drain excess water: Use a cup or sponge to remove water from the tub until below the filter level.
  • Inspect pressure system: Clean filters and sump. Access the side panel to check and clean the pressure chamber and hose.
  • Check inlet valve: With the machine unplugged and tap closed, disconnect the inlet hose. If water continues to flow into the machine when the tap is open but the machine is off, the inlet valve is stuck and must be replaced.
  • Test after repair: After cleaning or replacing parts, run a short cycle and monitor the water level closely.
