Possible Causes
Closed or low-pressure water supply tap, Blocked inlet hose filter at AquaStop or hose end, Faulty water inlet valve assembly, Defective flow meter or pressure switch in Candy hydraulic system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the dishwasher at the mains and close the water tap before working on hoses or internal parts.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen water tap feeding the Candy dishwasher is fully open and that household water pressure is normal. Try another tap to confirm pressure.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the machine forward slightly, close the tap, then disconnect the inlet hose from the tap. Clean the small mesh filter inside the hose end using a soft brush. Refit firmly and reopen the tap.
- Check AquaStop (if fitted): If your Candy model has an AquaStop safety hose, feel along the hose for a swollen or activated section. If the safety device has tripped due to a leak, the hose assembly must be replaced.
- Clean internal filter and sump: Remove the lower basket, twist out the filter assembly and clean thoroughly. Check the sump area for debris that might affect the pressure switch.
- If still no fill: The water inlet valve or internal flow meter/pressure switch may be faulty. These are located behind the lower front panel or side panel. Replacement usually requires removing the outer panels and should be done by a qualified technician.
