Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or air trap on Candy hydraulic system, Clogged pressure switch hose, Faulty electronic pressure switch, Wiring issue between pressure switch and main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water supply before removing panels.

  • Reset the appliance: Turn the dishwasher off, wait 2–3 minutes, then restart the program. If E2 reappears, continue with checks.
  • Clean filters and sump: Remove the lower basket and filter assembly. Clean all parts and check the sump for grease, food, or foreign objects that could block the pressure system.
  • Inspect pressure chamber/air trap: On many Candy dishwashers, the pressure chamber is located on the side of the tub or integrated into the sump. Remove the side panel and look for a small plastic chamber with a thin hose leading to the pressure switch. If it is full of sludge or scale, carefully clean it with hot water and a soft brush.
  • Check pressure hose: Ensure the thin rubber or plastic hose from the sump/air trap to the pressure switch is not kinked, split, or blocked. Blow gently through it (with the hose disconnected from the switch) to confirm it is clear.
  • If the error persists: The pressure switch or wiring harness may be defective. Replacement of the pressure switch or diagnosis of the control board should be carried out by a technician.
