Possible Causes

Water leak into base tray activating float switch, Overfilling due to stuck inlet valve, Blocked pressure system causing incorrect level detection, Loose hose or clamp inside Candy dishwasher cabinet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately. There may be water inside the base of the machine.

  • Check for external leaks: Look around and under the dishwasher for visible water. Mop up any standing water on the floor.
  • Drain the base tray: Carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Tilt it slightly backward or to one side (have towels ready) to allow water trapped in the base tray to drain out. This may temporarily clear the E4 error.
  • Inspect internal hoses: Remove the side panels or lower front panel. Check the circulation pump hoses, drain hose connections, and inlet valve connections for drips or loose clamps.
  • Check door seal and tub: Inspect the door gasket, bottom door seal, and spray arms for cracks or splits that could cause water to escape during operation.
  • Do not ignore recurring leaks: If E4 returns, identify and replace the leaking component (hose, clamp, pump seal, or valve). If you cannot locate the source, contact a technician, as continued use can damage the electronics.
