Possible Causes

Faulty flow meter in inlet assembly, Blocked or scaled flow meter rotor, Wiring fault between flow meter and control board, Control board input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before working on the inlet system.

  • Check inlet filters: Remove and clean the mesh filter at the tap end of the inlet hose and any filter at the dishwasher inlet valve. Debris can affect flow meter readings.
  • Inspect flow meter: On many Candy models, the flow meter is integrated into the inlet valve or side water distribution assembly. Remove the side panel and locate the small device with wires on the inlet path.
  • Clean and check movement: If accessible, remove the flow meter and check that the internal rotor spins freely. Rinse with clean water to remove scale or grit.
  • Check wiring harness: Ensure the connector to the flow meter is secure and the wires are not damaged or corroded.
  • Replace if defective: If the rotor is stuck, damaged, or the sensor is open-circuit when tested with a multimeter, replace the flow meter assembly. If a new flow meter does not clear E7, the control board may be faulty.
