Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve or flow restrictor, Blocked side water distributor on Candy hydraulic system, Clogged spray arms, Faulty circulation pump not maintaining pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing parts.
- Check loading and spray arms: Ensure dishes are not blocking the rotation of the spray arms. Remove both spray arms and rinse under running water, clearing any blocked jets with a toothpick.
- Verify water level: Start a program and allow the machine to fill. Then pause and open the door carefully. The water should typically cover the filter area but not reach the door opening. If very low, suspect inlet issues.
- Clean inlet and side distributor: Remove and clean the inlet hose filter. On models with a side water distributor (large plastic matrix on the side), remove the side panel and check for blockages or heavy scale. Flush with hot water if possible.
- Listen to circulation pump: During wash, the pump should run with a steady hum. If it is noisy, intermittent, or silent, the circulation pump may be failing.
- If E8 persists: Replace the faulty component: inlet valve, side distributor, or circulation pump, depending on diagnosis. Complex hydraulic repairs are best handled by a technician.
