Possible Causes
Faulty drying fan motor (if fitted), Failed drying heater element, Blocked air duct or vent, Control board fault in drying circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before accessing the top or side panels. Drying components are live during operation.
- Check program selection: Ensure you are using a program with drying enabled. Some eco programs have reduced drying.
- Inspect vents: Look at the door and top panel vents for blockages or grease build-up. Clean gently with a damp cloth.
- Access drying fan (if present): On many Candy models, the drying fan is located in the door or top panel. Remove the inner door panel to inspect the fan and wiring.
- Test fan operation: With the machine unplugged, spin the fan by hand to check for stiffness. If seized or noisy, the fan motor should be replaced.
- Check drying heater: Some Candy dishwashers use a separate drying heater. Test for continuity with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates failure.
- If unsure: Because the drying circuit is integrated with the control board, diagnosis and replacement are often best left to a professional technician.
