Possible Causes

Open-circuit inlet valve coil, Shorted inlet valve coil, Loose connector at inlet valve, Control board triac failure for inlet valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap before working on the inlet system.

  • Check hose and tap: Confirm that the water tap is open and the hose is not kinked. This rules out simple supply issues.
  • Access inlet valve: Remove the lower front or side panel to locate the water inlet valve where the hose connects to the machine.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the connector on the valve for a secure fit and no signs of burning or corrosion.
  • Measure coil resistance: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the valve terminals. A reading of infinite (open) or near 0 Ω (short) indicates a faulty valve.
  • Replace valve: If faulty, install a CDA-compatible inlet valve. Transfer any seals or brackets from the old valve and tighten hose connections securely.
  • If valve tests OK: The control board may not be sending power to the valve. This requires further electronic diagnosis.
