Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash or drain.

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow moving parts to stop before reaching inside.

• Check spray arms: Ensure spray arms spin freely and are not striking tall items. Reposition dishes if necessary.
• Inspect sump: Remove filters and look for foreign objects in the sump. Remove carefully with pliers.
• Access pumps: If noise persists, access the circulation and drain pumps from below. Remove the pump covers (if serviceable) and clear any debris.
• Replace noisy pump: If the pump bearings are worn and noise continues, replace the affected Electrolux pump assembly.
