Possible Causes

Defective NTC temperature sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to sensor, Control board misreading sensor signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring or sensors.

  • Reset appliance: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore and run a short cycle. If i70 returns, proceed.
  • Locate NTC sensor: On many Electrolux dishwashers, the NTC is mounted in the sump or integrated with the heater assembly. Access from the bottom panel.
  • Inspect connection: Check the NTC plug and wiring for corrosion, moisture, or looseness. Dry and reseat the connector firmly.
  • Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance at room temperature and compare with Electrolux specs. Resistance should decrease as temperature rises (you can warm the sensor slightly to confirm).
  • Replace if faulty: If readings are unstable or out of range, replace the NTC sensor. If the sensor is integrated into the heater, the entire heater assembly may need replacement.
