Possible Causes
Blocked dispenser door by tall dishes or utensils, Weak or broken dispenser spring, Sticky detergent residue, Faulty dispenser actuator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety note: Most checks can be done without removing power, but disconnect power before removing the inner door panel.
- Load correctly: Ensure tall items in the lower rack are not blocking the dispenser door from swinging open.
- Clean dispenser: Wipe the dispenser cup and door with warm water to remove caked-on detergent.
- Test door action: Manually close and release the dispenser door. It should snap open firmly. If weak, replace the dispenser assembly.
- Check actuator: If the door is mechanically sound but not opening during a cycle, the actuator or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
