Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water before accessing the base.

• Listen for pump: Start a cycle and listen briefly. A loud hum without water movement suggests a seized pump. Then shut off power.
• Check for obstructions: Remove lower spray arm and filter assembly. Inspect the sump for broken glass, bones, or debris that could jam the impeller.
• Access pump: From underneath, remove the circulation pump from the sump. Inspect and clean the impeller area.
• Replace pump: If the motor shaft is stiff or the windings test open, replace the circulation pump with the correct Frigidaire Gallery part.
