How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off power and water supply to prevent flooding.
- Check float: Open the door and locate the float (usually a small dome or cylinder). Lift it up and down to ensure it moves freely. Clean any debris.
- Inspect inlet valve: If water continues to enter with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Clear pressure hose: Access the pressure sensor and hose; clear any blockages and ensure the hose is not kinked.
- Test sensor and control: If overfill occurs only when powered, test the pressure sensor and replace the control board if it fails to shut off the valve.
