Dishwasher will not power on at all; no lights or display; appears completely dead.

Safety first: Before opening any panels, turn off the breaker supplying the dishwasher.

• Check breaker and outlet: Verify the dishwasher breaker is ON and not tripped. Reset if necessary.
• Inspect junction box: Remove the lower toe-kick panel and open the dishwasher's junction box. Tighten any loose wire nuts and check for burned wires.
• Test door latch switch: With power off, access the door latch and test the switch for continuity when the latch is closed. Replace the latch assembly if the switch is open.
• Control board diagnosis: If power is present at the board but there are no lights or response, the main control board is likely failed and should be replaced.
