Possible Causes

Water leak into base pan triggering float switch, Loose or damaged door gasket, Cracked or loose circulation pump housing, Leaking inlet valve or hose connection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and shut off the water supply. Water in the base can contact live components.

  • Check for visible leaks: Open the door and inspect the door gasket for tears, flattening, or debris. Clean the gasket and door mating surface.
  • Drain the base pan: Carefully pull the dishwasher out. Tilt it slightly backward and to one side over towels to allow water to drain from the bottom pan. Do not tip excessively to avoid water entering electronics.
  • Inspect components: With the lower access panel removed, look for water trails around the circulation pump, sump, inlet valve, and hoses. Tighten hose clamps and fittings.
  • Replace leaking parts: If you see drips from the circulation pump housing, sump seal, or inlet valve body, those parts must be replaced before using the dishwasher again.

Do not continue operating the dishwasher until the leak source is corrected; repeated leaks can damage the control board and flooring.
