Possible Causes
Household power outage or brownout, Loose power connection at junction box, Tripped breaker, Faulty door switch or wiring causing intermittent power loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before checking electrical connections.
- Confirm household power: Check that the kitchen lights and outlets are working and that the dishwasher breaker is fully in the ON position.
- Inspect junction box: Remove the lower access panel and open the dishwasher's junction box. Verify wire nuts are tight and no wires are burned.
- Restart cycle: After confirming stable power, close the door and select a new cycle to clear the PF message.
- Check for recurring PF: If PF appears frequently without household outages, have an electrician or technician inspect the circuit and dishwasher wiring.
