Possible Causes
Empty salt reservoir, Incorrect water hardness setting, Low rinse aid, Poor quality detergent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow dishes to cool before handling.
- Check salt: Open the salt reservoir and refill with dishwasher salt if low. Wipe away any spilled salt from the tub.
- Adjust hardness: Set the water softener level in the control menu according to your local water hardness (see Gorenje manual).
- Refill rinse aid: Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled and adjust the dosage to a higher setting if spotting persists.
- Use quality detergent: Try a reputable brand of tablets or powder designed for dishwashers.
- Run a cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner to remove existing limescale from the interior and spray arms.
Persistent white film that does not dissolve in vinegar may be etching; reduce detergent dosage and use a gentler program.
