Possible Causes

Blocked inlet hose filter, Defective water inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Faulty flow meter or pressure switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power and close the water supply tap before working on it.

  • Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open and that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
  • Clean inlet hose filter: Turn off water, unscrew the inlet hose from the rear of the dishwasher and from the tap. Remove and rinse the small mesh filters inside both ends under running water. Refit securely.
  • Inspect inlet hose: Make sure the Gorenje AquaStop or standard inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or frozen. Straighten or thaw as needed.
  • Test a short cycle: Restore water and power, then run a quick program. If E1 returns, the water inlet valve or flow meter may be faulty.
  • Advanced check (for experienced users): Remove the left or bottom access panel to locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check the wiring harness and connector for corrosion or loose fit. If the valve coil is open-circuit or the flow meter does not send pulses, replacement is required.

If you are not comfortable working with live water and electrical components, contact a qualified Gorenje service technician.
