Dishwasher shows E14 and may not start or may stop unexpectedly; sometimes associated with door not latching properly.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains power before working on the door.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and is not obstructed by dishes or racks.
• Inspect latch: Examine the metal or plastic latch on the cabinet and the catch on the door for damage or misalignment. Adjust mounting screws if needed.
• Test door switch: Remove the inner door panel to access the door lock assembly. Check that the actuator moves freely and that the microswitch clicks when engaged.
• Wiring check: Verify that the harness to the door switch is intact and firmly connected.
• Replace lock: If the switch does not change state when the door is closed, replace the door lock assembly.

The dishwasher will not operate if it cannot confirm the door is closed; correct E14 before further use.
