Possible Causes
Incorrect drain hose installation, Drain hose too low, No air gap or high loop, Blocked sink siphon causing backflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before moving the dishwasher.
- Verify hose height: Ensure the highest point of the drain hose is at least as high as the bottom of the worktop (usually 40–100 cm above floor level).
- Create a high loop: Use the supplied hook or clips to secure the hose high under the countertop to prevent siphoning.
- Check sink trap: Remove and clean the sink siphon or spigot where the hose connects. Clear any grease or food buildup.
- Inspect for backflow: Run water in the sink and watch the dishwasher drain connection for backflow. Correct plumbing if necessary.
Once the drain hose is correctly installed and the sink trap is clear, reset the dishwasher and test a short cycle.
