Safety first: Allow the dishwasher to cool before inspecting the dispenser.

Check loading: Ensure tall plates or pans are not blocking the dispenser door from opening fully.
Test dispenser door: With the machine off, manually open and close the dispenser. It should snap open firmly. If it sticks, clean around the edges.
Use appropriate program: For tablets, use a program with sufficient temperature and duration to dissolve them fully.
Inspect dispenser (experienced users): Remove the inner door panel to access the dispenser. Check the solenoid and spring. Replace the dispenser assembly if mechanical or electrical failure is found.

As a workaround, you can place the tablet in the cutlery basket, but proper repair is recommended.

Detergent tablet or powder remains in the dispenser at the end of the cycle.
