Possible Causes
Clogged sump filter, Blocked drain hose or sink trap, Weak or worn drain pump, Air gap or siphon connection blocked
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and be cautious of hot water.
- Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean all filters in the bottom of the tub.
- Check drain hose: Inspect behind the dishwasher for kinks. Detach the hose from the sink trap and flush it with water.
- Inspect sink trap: Clean the dishwasher connection on the siphon or garbage disposer; remove grease and food buildup.
- Test drain pump (experienced users): Access the pump from the bottom, remove it, and check for obstructions. If the impeller is loose on the shaft or the motor is noisy and weak, replace the pump.
After reassembly, run a drain or quick program to confirm proper operation.
