Possible Causes
Worn or damaged door gasket, Blocked spray arm jets causing water to hit door, Over-foaming from incorrect detergent, Bent or misaligned door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water supply if the leak is significant.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and examine the rubber seal around the tub opening. Look for tears, flattening, or gaps, especially at the bottom corners.
- Clean gasket and mating surfaces: Wipe the gasket and door edges with warm soapy water to remove grease and debris.
- Check spray arms: Remove and clean spray arms. Ensure no jets are blocked, which can cause misdirected high-pressure streams toward the door.
- Use correct detergent: Only use dishwasher detergent. Excessive foam from hand dish soap or too much detergent can cause leaks.
If the gasket is damaged or permanently compressed, replace it. If the door is visibly misaligned, hinge or latch adjustment may be required by a technician.
