Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before working on the door assembly.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and latches with a clear click. If the door feels loose or springy, the latch may be misaligned.
- Inspect latch hook: Open the door and inspect the metal or plastic hook at the top edge. If bent or broken, it must be replaced.
- Adjust strike plate: On built-in models, the strike plate on the cabinet frame can sometimes shift. Loosen its screws slightly, adjust so the door closes more firmly, and retighten.
- Access door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the door lock assembly. Check the microswitch and wiring connectors for damage or burning.
If the switch does not click reliably or tests open-circuit when pressed, replace the door lock assembly. Persistent E11 after replacement may indicate a control board fault.
