Possible Causes
Failed drying fan motor, Blocked ventilation duct, Faulty fan temperature sensor, Wiring issue to fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the top or side panels.
- Check drying performance: If dishes remain very wet and E12 appears, suspect the fan or vent system.
- Inspect vent outlet: On some Hansa models, the vent is located on the top or side of the door. Ensure it is not blocked by cabinet trim or sealant.
- Access fan assembly: Remove the outer door panel or top cover to locate the drying fan. Check for dust buildup or obstructions preventing the fan from turning.
- Test fan (experienced users): Spin the fan blades by hand; they should move freely. Check the wiring connector. A seized fan or open-circuit motor requires replacement.
If the fan and wiring are intact, the control board or associated sensor may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
