Possible Causes
Defective secondary float switch, Stuck float due to grease or debris, Damaged wiring to float sensor, Control board input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap.
- Access base tray: Remove the lower front panel and, if necessary, tilt the dishwasher slightly to view the base area.
- Locate secondary float: Some Hansa models use an additional float or sensor in the sump or side chamber. Ensure it moves freely and is not obstructed by food residues.
- Clean float area: Wipe away grease, detergent residue, and debris from around the float and its guide.
- Check wiring: Inspect the sensor wiring harness for damage or loose connectors.
After cleaning and reseating connectors, run a test cycle. If E13 persists, the float sensor or control board likely needs replacement.
