Possible Causes
Faulty AquaStop inlet hose, Internal leak detected in AquaStop housing, Defective inlet valve coil, Wiring fault to inlet assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap.
- Inspect AquaStop hose: If your Hansa dishwasher uses an AquaStop safety hose, check the external housing near the tap for signs of leakage or swelling. Replace the entire hose if damaged.
- Check hose routing: Ensure the inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the cabinet.
- Test inlet valve (experienced users): Access the inlet valve at the base or side of the machine. Verify that the electrical connector is secure. Measure coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed valve.
If E16 persists after hose and valve checks, the AquaStop system or control board may require replacement by a technician.
