Possible Causes
Inlet valve not closing fully, Pressure switch miscalibration, Blocked pressure hose, Control board not shutting off inlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap.
- Check water level: Open the door mid-cycle (after pausing) and inspect the water level. It should be just below the bottom of the door. If excessively high, suspect overfill.
- Inspect pressure hose and switch: Access the side or bottom of the dishwasher to locate the pressure switch and its thin hose. Remove the hose and blow through it to clear any blockage. Refit securely.
- Test inlet valve: With the machine unplugged and tap open, verify that no water flows into the tub. If water continues to enter, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
Persistent E17 after these checks indicates a faulty pressure switch or control board, requiring professional service.
