Possible Causes

Faulty flow meter in inlet assembly, Blocked or scaled flow chamber, Loose or corroded connector to flow sensor, Control board misreading pulses

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before working on the inlet system.

  • Check inlet filters and pressure: Clean the inlet hose filter and ensure adequate water pressure. Low flow can cause E7 on some Hansa models.
  • Inspect flow meter: On many Hansa dishwashers, the flow meter is integrated into the side water distribution chamber or inlet valve. Remove the side panel to access it. Look for limescale buildup or debris in the transparent chamber.
  • Clean the chamber: If accessible, flush the flow chamber with warm water and vinegar to dissolve scale. Do not damage the small turbine wheel inside.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the small two-wire connector from the flow meter to the control board is firmly seated and not corroded.

If E7 persists after cleaning and checking connections, the flow meter or control board likely needs replacement by a professional.
