Possible Causes

Empty salt reservoir, Incorrect water hardness setting, Rinse aid set too low, Using non-dishwasher detergent

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the machine to cool before adding salt.

  • Refill salt: Open the salt reservoir in the bottom of the tub and fill with dishwasher salt. Wipe away any spilled salt.
  • Adjust water hardness: Set the water softener level on the control panel according to your local water hardness (see Hansa manual).
  • Increase rinse aid: Turn the rinse aid dosage to a higher setting.
  • Run a cleaning cycle: Run an empty hot cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed upright in the top rack to remove existing deposits.

Persistent limescale despite correct settings may indicate a faulty softener valve or regeneration system.
