Possible Causes
Stuck-open Hisense water inlet valve, Faulty water level sensor, Control board not closing inlet valve, Incorrect installation of drain hose causing siphoning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water supply valve immediately if the dishwasher is overfilling.
- 1. Check water level: Open the door and verify if the water level is too high. If so, manually remove excess water.
- 2. Inspect inlet valve: With power off, access the Hisense inlet valve at the base. If water continues to flow into the tub when the valve is not energized, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
- 3. Verify drain hose installation: Ensure the drain hose has a proper high loop or air gap and is not inserted too far into the standpipe, which can cause siphoning and confuse level detection.
- 4. Check level sensor: Inspect and, if necessary, clean the water level pressure sensor and hose. Replace the sensor if it does not respond correctly.
- 5. Control board diagnosis: If the inlet valve is good but is being held open electrically at the wrong time, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
