Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray triggering Hisense float switch, Loose hose clamp on circulation or drain hose, Cracked sump or tub, Faulty door gasket allowing water to escape
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and shut off the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- 1. Pull out the dishwasher: Carefully slide the Hisense dishwasher out from under the counter, protecting the floor with towels.
- 2. Inspect the base tray: Remove the lower side or front panels to view the base. If water is present, the anti-flood float switch will have triggered E9.
- 3. Dry the base: Sponge out water and use towels or a fan to dry the base completely. Do not bypass the float switch.
- 4. Identify the leak source: With the unit pulled out, run a short cycle while observing underneath (use a flashlight). Look for drips from hoses, the sump seal, circulation pump, drain pump, or door area.
- 5. Tighten or replace components: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and inspect the Hisense sump gasket for splits. Replace any leaking parts. If the door gasket is torn or flattened, install a new Hisense door seal.
- 6. Reset and test: Once the leak is fixed and the base is dry, restore power and run a full cycle to confirm no further leakage and that E9 is cleared.
