Dishwasher powers on but shuts off mid-cycle without completing wash or rinse.

Safety first: Disconnect power and lock out before inspecting electrical components.

• Check for overheating: After shutdown, feel the wash pump motor housing (carefully). If extremely hot, the motor may be overloading. Inspect for mechanical binding or replace the motor.
• Inspect power connections: Tighten all line and neutral connections in the main terminal block and control box. Loose connections can cause intermittent shutdowns.
• Door/hood switch: Observe whether slight movement of the door or hood causes the machine to stop. Replace or adjust the switch if contact is unreliable.
• Control board: If all else checks out, the control board may be failing under heat. Replace with an Insinger-approved board.
