Safety first: Disconnect power and lock out the machine. Keep hands clear of pinch points and moving parts.

• Inspect for jams: Remove any racks or foreign objects lodged in the conveyor path. Check sprockets and guides for bent or misaligned parts.
• Check drive chain and sprockets: Examine the conveyor chain for broken links or excessive slack. Re-tension or replace the chain as needed. Ensure sprocket set screws are tight on the motor shaft.
• Test conveyor motor: Measure resistance of the conveyor motor windings and check for ground faults. Replace the motor if defective.
• Limit switches and sensors: Many Insinger conveyor models use limit switches to detect rack position. Test each switch for proper operation and adjust actuators if necessary.
• Control relay: Verify that the conveyor relay or contactor energizes when a cycle is started. Replace if the coil is powered but contacts do not close.
