Possible Causes

Failed rinse pump motor (for pumped rinse systems), Defective rinse solenoid valve, Blocked rinse line or strainer, Faulty control output to rinse circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and close the rinse water supply. Be cautious of hot surfaces and water.

  • Check rinse water supply: Confirm the dedicated rinse water line to the Insinger dishwasher is open and has adequate pressure.
  • Inspect rinse solenoid valve: Remove the inlet line and check the internal screen for debris. Clean as needed. Test the solenoid coil for proper resistance; replace the valve if the coil is open or the valve is stuck.
  • Rinse pump (if equipped): For models with a separate rinse pump, inspect the pump for leaks or seized shaft. Test motor windings with a multimeter and replace the pump if defective.
  • Rinse line and jets: Remove and clean the upper rinse arms and nozzles. Flush the rinse line to clear scale or debris that may restrict flow.
  • Control output: During the rinse phase, check for voltage at the rinse valve or pump terminals. If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the control board or timer may be faulty.
