Possible Causes
Empty rinse aid container, Failed rinse aid pump, Blocked rinse aid tubing, Faulty signal from control or chemical controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and wear appropriate PPE when handling rinse additives.
- Check rinse aid level: Confirm the rinse aid reservoir or external container is adequately filled and the pickup tube is not drawing air.
- Inspect tubing: Follow the rinse aid line from the container to the injection point. Look for kinks, pinched sections, or hardened tubing. Replace damaged tubing.
- Test rinse aid pump: Access the rinse aid pump and check for leaks or corrosion. Measure coil or motor resistance. Replace the pump if electrically open or mechanically seized.
- Prime the system: After repairs, use the prime function (if available) on the Insinger control or chemical controller to purge air from the rinse aid line.
- Control signal: During the final rinse, verify that the pump receives the correct voltage. If not, inspect wiring and the control output.
