Water remains in the tank overnight; machine does not automatically drain when expected.

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow water to cool before working on the drain system.

• Verify program settings: Check the Insinger control or timer to ensure automatic drain is enabled at the end of the shift or cycle.
• Inspect drain components: Clean the drain screen, pump intake, and drain hose as described in the E4 entry.
• Check drain solenoid (if equipped): For gravity-drain models, test the drain valve solenoid for proper operation and replace if it does not open when energized.
• Level switch function: Confirm that the level switch correctly signals low water when the tank is nearly empty; a stuck switch can prevent full drain.
