Possible Causes

Perished Maidaid circulation pump seal, Cracked internal hose, Loose hose clamp, Split tank or sump gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply. Allow hot water to cool before working.

  • Remove panels: Take off the front kick panel and side panels to gain a clear view of the internal plumbing.
  • Run a brief test: Restore power temporarily and run a short fill/wash while observing for drips. Then isolate power again.
  • Identify leak source: Trace water trails back to the highest wet point. Common sources are Maidaid pump seals, hose joints, and tank gaskets.
  • Tighten or replace: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and if the pump seal is leaking, replace the Maidaid wash pump or fit a new seal kit if available.
  • Dry base tray: Sponge out any water from the base tray and ensure any float switches move freely.
