Possible Causes

Closed or restricted water supply tap, Blocked inlet hose filter, Faulty water inlet valve, Faulty water level sensor or pressure switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from the mains power and close the water supply tap before working on it.

  • Check water supply: Ensure the building’s stopcock and the dishwasher’s isolation valve are fully open. Confirm there is adequate water pressure at the tap.
  • Inspect inlet hose: Pull the machine forward, check that the Maidaid inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the unit. Straighten if necessary.
  • Clean inlet filter: Turn off water, unscrew the hose from the rear of the dishwasher, and remove the small mesh filter in the Maidaid inlet valve connection. Rinse under running water and refit.
  • Test fill: Restore water and power, run a short cycle and observe if the tank fills within 1–2 minutes. If E1 returns, the inlet valve coil or water level sensor may be faulty.
  • Advanced check (technician recommended): With power isolated, access the base panel, locate the Maidaid water inlet valve assembly, and test the coil resistance with a multimeter. Replace the valve if open-circuit or shorted.
