Possible Causes
Leak from Maidaid tank seals or hoses, Split drain or inlet hose, Faulty pump seal, Overflow due to blocked drain
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply. Water in the base can contact live parts.
- Inspect base tray: Remove the front kick panel or side panels and check the base tray for standing water. If present, carefully sponge it out.
- Locate leak source: Run a brief fill with panels off (power restored temporarily) and watch for drips from hoses, pump seals, tank gaskets, or door area. Then isolate power again.
- Tighten connections: Check all Maidaid hose clamps and unions. Tighten any loose connections and replace perished hoses.
- Check pump seals: Inspect the wash and drain pump seals for signs of leakage. Replace the pump or seal kit if water tracks are visible.
- Clear overfill causes: Ensure filters and drain hoses are clear so water cannot back up and overflow into the base.
- Reset anti-flood: Some models use a float switch in the base. Ensure it moves freely and is dry. Once the base is dry and leak fixed, E12 should clear on the next power cycle.
