Possible Causes
Failed Maidaid rinse pump motor, Blocked rinse line, Air lock in rinse circuit, Wiring fault to rinse pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power and allow the machine to cool before working near hot rinse lines.
- Check chemical and water supply: Ensure rinse aid is present and water supply is adequate.
- Inspect rinse pump: Access the Maidaid rinse pump (often a small motorised pump near the boiler). Check for leaks, corrosion, or seized shaft.
- Bleed air: Loosen a rinse line connection slightly and run a brief rinse to expel air, then retighten. Do this only with caution and appropriate PPE.
- Electrical test: Measure the rinse pump motor winding resistance. Replace the Maidaid rinse pump if open or shorted.
- Check control output: If the pump is good but not energised, a technician should test the control board output and replace the PCB if necessary.
