Possible Causes
Faulty Maidaid flow meter, Wiring issue between flow meter and control board, Blocked inlet causing no pulses from flow meter, Control PCB fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power and water supply.
- Confirm water supply: Ensure E1-type issues are not present (tap open, hose not kinked, inlet filter clean).
- Locate flow meter: On many Maidaid dishwashers, the flow meter is integrated into the inlet assembly or side water chamber. Access via side panel.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the flow meter to the control board for damage, loose connectors, or corrosion. Reseat plugs firmly.
- Check for blockage: Remove the flow meter or water chamber and inspect for scale or debris obstructing the turbine wheel. Clean gently with a soft brush.
- Functional test: With the unit in diagnostic mode (if available), monitor flow meter pulses or use a multimeter on the signal wire while manually passing water through the meter. Replace the Maidaid flow meter if no pulses are generated.
- If still faulty: The control PCB input circuit may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a qualified technician.
