Possible Causes
Stuck-open Midea inlet valve, Debris preventing valve closure, Control board not shutting off valve, Incorrect water pressure too high
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off the water supply and disconnect power if the dishwasher is overfilling.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the lower kick panel and locate the inlet valve. Check for debris in the valve body by disconnecting the inlet hose and inspecting the valve port.
- Check for continuous flow: With power off and water on, if water still flows into the tub, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
- Verify pressure: Ensure household water pressure is within the range specified by Midea (typically 0.04–1.0 MPa). Extremely high pressure may require a pressure reducer.
- Replace valve: Install a new Midea water inlet valve assembly, ensuring all seals and connections are tight.
- Control issue: If the valve only overfills when powered, the PCB may be keeping it energized too long; this requires professional diagnosis.
