Possible Causes
Open or shorted inlet valve coil, Loose wiring harness to Midea inlet valve, Faulty main control board output to valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before accessing the base or valve connections.
- Visual inspection: Remove the lower kick panel. Locate the water inlet valve where the supply hose connects. Check for burned connectors, corrosion, or loose plugs.
- Check wiring harness: Ensure the two-wire connector to the valve is fully seated and not damaged. Repair or replace any burnt or broken wires.
- Coil test (advanced): With power disconnected, use a multimeter to measure resistance across the valve coil. An open circuit (OL) or extremely low resistance indicates a bad coil.
- Board output: If the valve tests good but never receives voltage during fill (requires live testing and extreme caution), the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a professional.
