Possible Causes

Seized wash pump impeller, Foreign object in pump housing, Faulty wash pump motor winding, Overload protection tripped on pump

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and ensure the tank is drained or water level is low before removing pump covers.

  • Access wash pump: Remove front or side panels to reach the main wash pump assembly connected to the sump.
  • Check for obstructions: Remove the pump inlet cover (if serviceable) and inspect for broken glass, cutlery, or plastic blocking the impeller. Remove debris carefully.
  • Spin impeller: Rotate the impeller by hand. It should move freely without grinding. If seized, the pump likely needs replacement.
  • Electrical tests: Measure motor winding resistance and compare to Wexiodisk specifications. Check for signs of overheating or burnt smell.
  • Reset overload (if fitted): Some pumps have a manual reset thermal protector. Press the reset button if present and retry operation.

If the pump does not run even with correct supply voltage, replace the complete wash pump assembly. For 3‑phase pumps, also verify correct phase sequence and contactor operation.
