Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off motor pulley, Worn idler pulley not maintaining tension
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer.
Steps:
- Check drum rotation: Try turning the drum by hand. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt may be broken.
- Access belt: Remove the top and front panels to inspect the belt around the drum and motor pulley.
- Replace belt: If broken or heavily worn, install a new Asko-compatible drive belt, routing it around the motor pulley and idler according to the service diagram.
- Inspect idler: Ensure the idler pulley moves freely and maintains proper belt tension; replace if worn.
