Possible Causes

Blocked blower wheel, Seized drum roller or idler, Failing drive motor, Restricted ventilation causing high internal temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the dryer to cool.

Steps to address motor overload:

  • Check for mechanical drag: Rotate the drum by hand. If it is difficult to turn, inspect rollers, idler pulley, and felt seals for binding or foreign objects.
  • Inspect blower wheel: Access the blower housing and check for lint clumps, socks, or debris. Ensure the blower wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not rubbing the housing.
  • Ventilation check: Ensure the exhaust duct is clear and the dryer has adequate space around it for cooling air.
  • Motor condition: If the drum turns freely but E07 recurs, the motor may be overheating internally. A technician should test the motor windings and thermal protector.
